April 18 - And The Guest Blogger Is . . .

They say if you want something done, ask a busy person, and I have asked one of the busiest to be our April 18 Guest Blogger.

Next week's guest post is authored by Terry Thornton of Hill Country of Monroe County, Mississippi. Terry is a retired college administrator and former Amory Middle School principal who resides in Fulton, Mississippi.

His smooth warm uncomplicated southern style of writing and his ability to let the tale tell itself has made him one of my favorite daily reads. Not to mention one of my favorite people.

Terry authors a column every other week in the Amory Advertiser, Amory, Mississippi; the blog Hill Country of Monroe County, Mississippi; and is completing the transcription of photographs of grave markers for the Lann and New Hope Cemeteries in Monroe County.

In his guest post, Terry will be bringing his recent insights to the problems, techniques and pitfalls associated with photographing and documenting grave markers. No easy task, Terry has developed tips, tricks, and solutions to a "monumental" project, and he will share them with us.

What could be more "Shades Of The Departed" than Terry's ventures in the local cemeteries of Monroe County?

Tune in Friday, April 18, to see what Terry has in store for us!
